Job Description:

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will conduct rigorous fundamental credit analysis, produce high-quality research, and ensure rating accuracy across a portfolio of Nigerian financial institutions, insurance companies, and corporates. You will act as a subject matter expert, developing deep insights into sector trends and maintaining strong relationships within the financial markets.

Requirements:

• Insightful and Rigorous Research:

  • Draft in-depth, high-quality research reports focusing on critical credit trends across insurance, banking, and corporate sectors.

  • Establish yourself as a recognized authority on your assigned portfolio of entities and broader sector developments.

• Ratings Accuracy & Analysis:

  • Perform comprehensive fundamental credit analysis on a portfolio of Nigerian financial and insurance entities.

  • Present analytical findings at committee meetings with precision and clarity.

  • Master relevant analytical methodologies and monitor market developments to ensure ratings remain accurate, forward-looking, and robust.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Build and maintain high-quality relationships with fixed-income investors, financial media, and senior management at client institutions.

  • Enhance our Banking, Corporate, and Insurance franchise by deepening outreach with key external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A strong academic background, with at least a B.Sc. in a relevant field.

• Professional Certification: An ACA or ACCA qualification is highly desirable.

• Communication: Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English.
