We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead the preparation, accuracy, and integrity of the company’s financial books.
• The role requires advanced expertise in accounting, company valuation, and financial reporting in line with IFRS, as well as practical knowledge of cross-border payments and FX services.
• The Senior Accountant will be instrumental in positioning Clearer for a successful listing and supporting its growth in international financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards.
• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Design and maintain accounting systems that support cross-border payments and FX services, ensuring proper reconciliation and compliance.
• Monitor, record, and reconcile foreign currency transactions and ensure accuracy in FX reporting.
• Conduct company valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence in preparation for a potential listing.
• Establish strong internal controls and risk management processes for international transactions.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, banks, and FX service providers to ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
• Provide financial insights and guidance to management on liquidity, FX exposure, and international transactions.
• Support IPO readiness activities including audit, disclosures, and financial governance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA (mandatory).
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and capital market requirements.
• Proven expertise in cross-border payments, foreign exchange services, and FX accounting.
• Experience in company valuation, financial modeling, and preparation for listing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
• High integrity, detail orientation, and ability to work under pressure.
