Job Description:

• The Security Officer monitors entry and exit points, patrols farm facilities, and reports suspicious activities.
• The role supports the prevention of theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access to farm property.

Job Summary

• The Security Officer is responsible for protecting farm property, livestock, staff, and equipment.
• The role ensures that access to the farm is controlled and that the premises remain secure at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control entry and exit to the farm premises.
• Maintain security logs of visitors, vehicles, and deliveries.
• Patrol farm facilities and storage areas regularly.
• Ensure gates and perimeter security measures are maintained.
• Report suspicious activities or security breaches immediately.
• Support emergency response when required.
• Verify delivery personnel before allowing access to the farm.
• Protect farm equipment, livestock, and facilities from theft or damage.

Department: Administration / Farm Operations
Reports To: Site Supervisor

Requirements:

• Must be disciplined and trustworthy.
• Must be willing to work night shifts if required.
• Must maintain professional conduct at all times.
• Ability to remain alert and responsive during duty hours.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a secondary school education.
• Experience: Prior experience in security services is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong observation and alertness
• Ability to follow security procedures
• Communication and reporting skills
• Physical fitness for patrol duties.
