Job Description:

We are seeking a professional and proactive Secretary to manage our office operations in Bauchi. As the first point of contact for our organization, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests while maintaining meticulous records and supporting the team with administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner who can manage office schedules, follow up on pending tasks, and communicate effectively in both English and Hausa.

Requirements:

Front Office & Guest Relations

  • Guest Management: Greet and attend to guests with professionalism, ensuring their inquiries are directed to the appropriate department.

  • Office Ambience: Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized office environment to reflect the professional standards of the organization.

Records Management & Administration

  • Meticulous Record Keeping: Develop and maintain an accurate filing system for both physical and digital documents.

  • Meeting Support: Participate in office meetings, take minutes, and ensure all assigned tasks are followed through to successful conclusion.

  • Operational Learning: Demonstrate a high capacity to learn new office procedures, software, or administrative workflows as needed.

Communication

  • Bilingual Support: Facilitate communication with a diverse range of stakeholders using proficiency in both Hausa and English.

  • Correspondence: Manage incoming and outgoing office correspondence, including emails and physical letters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Minimum of an OND, NCE, HND, or B.Sc. in:

    • Accounting

    • Business Management / Administration

    • ICT or related fields.

  • Age Bracket: 24 – 40 years.

  • Technical Skills: Basic Digital Literacy (proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email management).

  • Languages: High level of proficiency in Hausa and English (Oral and Written).

  • Location: Candidates must currently reside within Bauchi State.

  • Aptitude: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary

N30,000 - N50,000 / month.
