Job Description:
SLB (Schlumberger) is seeking ambitious Field Engineer Trainees to join our world-class service delivery team in Port Harcourt. This is the entry point into a global career at the forefront of energy technology. As a Trainee, you are responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of SLB products and services at the wellsite.
This role is for "high-agility" learners who can bridge the gap between complex engineering theory and rugged field execution. You will manage risks, implement standard work, and identify opportunities to improve operational performance in a 24/7 environment. Requirements:
1. Service Delivery & Technical Execution
Operational Accuracy: Execute service delivery activities in strict alignment with customer expectations and SLB global standards.
Technical Support: Assist Design and Technical Engineers in implementing specialized programs, proposals, and high-stakes bids.
Standard Work Implementation: Adhere to established timelines and quality benchmarks to ensure all job deliverables are completed with precision.
2. Risk Management & Service Quality
Risk Assessment: Contribute to pre-job risk assessments and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance field performance.
Customer Diplomacy: Participate in Service Quality Meetings (SQM) with customers, helping to drive performance improvements through structured action plans.
Operational Support: Provide critical administrative and technical support to the Job Delivery and Service Delivery teams to ensure seamless workflows.
3. HSE & Compliance Stewardship
Goal Zero Culture: Actively participate in HSE and Quality programs to maintain the industry’s highest operational standards.
Safety Mastery: Adhere to all company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and maintain 100% compliance with required safety training and certifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
Academic Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, Electrical, etc.).
Experience: Recent graduate with 0–2 years of post-graduation experience (NYSC completed or nearing completion).
Language: Professional proficiency in English (written, verbal, and reading).
Core Competencies
