Job Description:

Spesa Group is looking for energetic and customer-focused Sales Representatives to join our frontline team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for driving in-store revenue while ensuring every shopper enjoys a premium experience. You will balance the art of persuasion with the discipline of operational management—ensuring that shelves are perfectly stocked, transactions are accurate, and sales targets are consistently exceeded.

Requirements:

Customer Engagement & Sales

  • Service Excellence: Welcome and attend to customers promptly, providing a professional and inviting shopping atmosphere.

  • Consultative Selling: Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products, providing accurate information regarding features, pricing, and ongoing promotions.

  • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed daily/weekly sales targets through active engagement and persuasive communication.

  • Issue Resolution: Handle customer inquiries or complaints courteously, escalating complex matters to management when necessary.

Merchandising & Operations

  • Visual Standards: Ensure proper product display, accurate labeling, and organized shelf arrangements to enhance the shopping experience.

  • Inventory Monitoring: Track stock levels and proactively report shortages or identify fast-moving products to the procurement team.

  • Transaction Management: Accurately record and process sales transactions using the store’s point-of-sale (POS) systems.

  • Stock Control: Participate in periodic stock-taking exercises and support the execution of promotional activities.

Store Maintenance

  • Orderliness: Support daily operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and professional store environment.

  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth store workflows and a positive team spirit.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Minimum of OND, NCE, HND, or B.Sc. (Higher degrees are an added advantage).

  • Experience: * 1–3 years of proven experience as a Sales Representative, ideally in a supermarket, retail, or FMCG environment.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Digital Literacy: Basic computer literacy; knowledge of POS operations is a significant advantage.

    • Retail Techniques: Solid understanding of retail sales techniques and modern customer service principles.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.

    • Work Ethic: Honest, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

    • Agility: Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
