Job Description:

Buena Sante Supermarket is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Sangotedo, Lagos. This is a part-time role designed for a "Retail Professional"—someone who understands that supermarket success is built on a blend of product knowledge, persuasive communication, and exceptional customer service.

Your mission is to drive floor sales, manage customer enquiries, and ensure every shopper has a premium experience. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, promoting specific product lines, and maintaining the visual and professional standards of the supermarket. If you are a self-starter with a track record in retail sales and a passion for the Sangotedo community, we want you on our floor.

Requirements:

1. Sales Conversion & Customer Engagement

• Active Selling: Engage with customers on the floor to provide product information, suggest alternatives, and drive impulse purchases.

• Negotiation & Persuasion: Use your communication skills to handle bulk purchase enquiries and promote store loyalty programs or discounts.

• Customer Journey: Ensure a seamless shopping experience from the moment a customer enters the store until they reach the checkout.

2. Product Knowledge & Merchandising Support

• Category Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of our product range (groceries, household items, specialty goods) to answer customer questions accurately.

• Visual Standards: Assist in ensuring that shelves are well-stocked and products are displayed attractively to maximize visibility.

• Feedback Loop: Report customer preferences and out-of-stock items to management to help optimize inventory.

3. Operational Collaboration

• Team Synergy: Work effectively with the floor team, cashiers, and warehouse staff to maintain a high-standard retail environment.

• Independent Initiative: Manage assigned sections of the supermarket independently, ensuring cleanliness, pricing accuracy, and organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: 1 – 3 years of proven experience as a Sales Representative, preferably in a supermarket, retail store, or FMCG environment.

• Location: Must be based in or around Sangotedo, Lagos for ease of commute for part-time shifts.

• Availability: Must be able to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends or peak shopping periods.

• Negotiation: Strong ability to influence purchasing decisions and handle objections politely.
