About Company:
We are a multi-industry business group delivering exceptional services across Agro-Allied, Construction, Energy, Consulting, Logistics, Export & Import sector
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber and technically rigorous Renewable Energy Project Lead to anchor our large-scale power developments in Kano. In the context of Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape, success is defined by "Deployment Sovereignty", the ability to move a project from conceptual financing through complex regulatory hurdles to full grid-connected operationality. This role is designed for a "Project Architect" with 7+ years of experience who can blend "Advanced Technical Engineering" with the "Stakeholder Diplomacy" required to manage government agencies, investors, and local communities.
Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Delay Project Execution and Absolute Regulatory Compliance." You will be the primary engine of our energy expansion: responsible for contractor oversight, risk mitigation, and the financial stewardship of massive infrastructure budgets. If you possess "Exceptional Leadership Grit," a background in Large-Scale Infrastructure, and the ability to navigate the unique socio-technical environment of Sub-Saharan Africa, we want you to lead our energy transition.
Requirements:
1. Technical Orchestration & Life-Cycle Management
Project Architecture: Lead the end-to-end planning and development of utility-scale renewable energy systems, ensuring engineering designs meet global standards.
Contractor Governance: Oversee technical teams and third-party contractors, maintaining strict quality control over construction, procurement, and installation.
Risk & Schedule Stewardship: Maintain high-fidelity project schedules and risk registers, implementing mitigation strategies to prevent cost overruns or technical bottlenecks.
2. Stakeholder Diplomacy & Regulatory Sovereignty
Regulatory Navigation: Coordinate directly with government agencies (NERC, REA, etc.) and environmental regulators to secure all necessary licenses and permits.
Investor Engagement: Support project financing activities by providing investors and lenders with accurate technical data, ROI projections, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance reports.
Community Stewardship: Manage relationships with local stakeholders in Kano to ensure social license to operate and smooth on-site project execution.
3. Financial & Compliance Governance
Budget Stewardship: Own the financial integrity of the project, managing multi-million naira budgets with transparency and precision.
ESG Compliance: Ensure that every phase of development adheres to international environmental and social safeguards.
Performance Reporting: Provide senior management and project partners with high-fidelity reports on project milestones, financial burn rates, and technical hurdles.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Degree in Engineering, Energy, or Project Management. (An MBA or MSc is highly preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in power, infrastructure, or renewable energy developments.
Regional Context: Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects within Nigeria or the Sub-Saharan African region.
Core Competencies
Leadership Prowess: Advanced ability to lead multidisciplinary teams under high-pressure, utility-scale project conditions.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional negotiation skills for engaging with high-level government officials and international investors.
Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of renewable energy systems (Solar, Wind, or Hydro) and their integration into the national or regional grid.
