Job Description:
Are you an experienced and results-driven Relationship Manager ready to elevate your career? We are currently seeking high-performing professionals within the Commercial Banking segment of reputable financial institutions across Nigeria to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial banking clients, driving deposit mobilization, asset creation, and revenue growth. You will deliver exceptional service while leveraging your expertise in commercial banking products, credit analysis, and business development.
Requirements:
Portfolio Growth: Manage and expand a portfolio of commercial banking customers across assigned sectors and regions, identifying and onboarding new clients to increase market share.
Deposit & Asset Management: Drive deposit mobilization to achieve liability targets and structure credit facilities tailored to specific client needs.
Credit & Risk: Conduct thorough financial analysis and credit assessments to support lending decisions, ensuring portfolio quality and timely loan repayments.
Strategic Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers and cross-sell bank products, including trade finance, cash management, treasury products, and digital solutions.
Compliance & Reporting: Prepare business proposals and credit memoranda while ensuring adherence to bank policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk management frameworks.
Market Insight: Monitor industry trends to identify emerging business opportunities and collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance customer service.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience: 3–10 years of experience in Commercial Banking Relationship Management. Candidates must currently be employed as a Relationship Manager, Senior Relationship Manager, or equivalent role within a Commercial Bank.
Technical Skills: Proven track record in deposit mobilization, credit marketing, portfolio management, and financial statement analysis.
Communication: Exceptional business development, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications: Strong knowledge of banking regulations. Professional certifications (ACIB, ACA, ACCA, CFA, etc.) are a significant advantage.
