Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Regional Manager to spearhead the performance of our growing network of supermarket branches in Lagos. This is a high-level strategic role for a professional with a background in structured sectors such as finance, banking, or FMCG who can translate complex financial and operational data into tangible business growth. You will serve as the primary link between the Executive Board and our frontline operations, directly managing Branch Managers and driving a culture of profitability, efficiency, and excellence.

Requirements:

• Strategic Operations: Provide visionary leadership to all branches within your region. You will ensure that every location aligns with our corporate business objectives and meets performance targets.

• Financial & Analytical Oversight: Masterfully analyze financial statements, sales reports, and operational KPIs. You will provide the Board and Executive Management with strategic recommendations to optimize profitability and cost efficiency.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as the direct Line Manager for Branch Managers. You will coach, mentor, and build a high-performing team, ensuring effective implementation of company policies and operational standards.

• Operational Audits: Conduct regular branch visits and audits to enforce internal controls, risk management protocols, and regulatory compliance.

• Market Strategy: Identify emerging retail trends and competitive threats. You will develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance revenue generation and customer satisfaction across the region.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, HR, Internal Audit, and Operations to streamline workflows and ensure organizational cohesion.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Minimum of a B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields. An MBA or relevant professional certification is a significant added advantage.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of cognate experience in a senior management position within the financial sector, retail, banking, or FMCG.

• Technical Proficiency: * Exceptional ability to interpret financial statements and identify business trends.

  • Proven experience managing multiple business units or branches simultaneously.

• Core Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate high-level goals into actionable branch-level tasks.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop large, dispersed teams.
