Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Radiographer to join our medical team. In this role, you will perform essential diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRI scans. You will play a critical role in patient care by capturing high-quality images of bones, organs, and tissues to aid physicians in accurate diagnosis. The ideal candidate must be committed to the highest standards of radiation safety, patient confidentiality, and clinical excellence.

Requirements:

• Diagnostic Imaging: Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures (MRI, CT, X-Rays, Ultrasound) and process digital images for physician interpretation.

• Radiation Safety: Strictly adhere to safety regulations, conduct daily equipment checks for malfunctions, and ensure optimal radiation levels are set in accordance with clinical standards.

• Patient Care: Conduct patient interviews to obtain accurate medical histories, explain procedures to secure informed consent, and build trusting relationships with patients and their families.

• Clinical Documentation: Maintain comprehensive electronic records and prepare detailed diagnostic reports for primary physicians, ensuring full compliance with the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality standards.

• Monitoring & Support: Continuously observe and assess patient responses during and after procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor radiography assistants and student radiographers to maintain a high standard of service delivery.

• Professional Development: Stay current with the latest imaging technologies and treatment protocols by attending all relevant professional training.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Radiography.

• Experience: 2–5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience.

• Certification: Must possess a valid, current practicing license. Completion of the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possession of an exemption certificate is required.

• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in operating advanced medical imaging equipment; strong knowledge of Healthcare Management Systems (HMS). Previous experience with MRI scans is considered a significant advantage.
