We are seeking a high-velocity and strategically elite Quality Control Officer/Inspector to anchor the technical engine of our steel operations. In the demanding world of heavy manufacturing, success is defined by "Metallurgical Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize complex fabrication workflows with the clinical precision required for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Weld Integrity, and ASTM Material Standards. This role is designed for a "Material Architect" with an OND/HND/B.Sc. in Engineering who can blend "Metrological Grit" (performing dimensional inspections) with the "Technical Agility" required to navigate AWS and AISC compliance.
Requirements:
1. Material Orchestration & Input Governance
Inbound Sovereignty: Inspect all raw steel materials and components upon arrival, ensuring every input acts as a "Source of Structural Reliability."
Specification Architecture: Verify material certifications against project requirements with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of ASTM Compliance."
Traceability Stewardship: Maintain rigorous records of material heat numbers and batches, providing the "Analytical Foundation" for project handovers.
2. Fabrication Resilience & In-Process Logic
Weld Sovereignty: Monitor in-process fabrication to ensure adherence to AWS (American Welding Society) standards, acting as the primary "Source of Joint Integrity."
Dimensional Architecture: Perform high-fidelity dimensional checks on fabricated components, ensuring "Zero-Friction" during site assembly and erection.
Process Stewardship: Identify non-conformances early in the fabrication cycle, providing the "Operational Foundation" for immediate corrective action.
3. Performance Integrity & Reporting Power
Finished-Product Sovereignty: Conduct final inspections on all steel products, acting as the final "Source of Customer Specification Validation."
Documentation Architecture: Prepare high-fidelity inspection reports and QC dossiers, optimizing the "Source of Institutional Credibility."
Technical Logic: Liaise with production teams to resolve technical bottlenecks, utilizing 2+ years of steel manufacturing expertise to maximize the "Source of Continuous Improvement."
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: OND / HND / B.Sc. in Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in quality control/inspection within a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes and modern inspection techniques.
Core Competencies
Analytical Grit: Familiarity with industry standards such as AWS, AISC, and ASTM.
