With a deep-rooted love for authentic Nigerian dishes, we’ve built a brand that delivers comfort, flavor, and joy to our customers across Lagos. Our energetic team is the secret sauce behind our success, and we’re growing fast! If you love food, innovation, and working in a vibrant, forward-thinking environment, we want you with us.
Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and detail-oriented Quality Control and Kitchen Supervisor to anchor our production engine in Lagos. In the competitive food service sector, success is defined by "Batch-to-Batch Consistency", the ability to ensure that every meal, whether for a corporate client or a walk-in customer, meets exact standards of taste, safety, and presentation. This role is designed for a "Culinary Architect" with 2–4 years of experience who can blend "Rigorous Quality Assurance" with the "Operational Grit" required to lead a high-output kitchen team.
Your mission is to ensure "Absolute Recipe Fidelity and Zero-Harm Food Safety." You will be the primary guardian of our kitchen standards: responsible for production scheduling, staff mentorship, and the forensic inspection of raw materials. If you possess "Strong Leadership Prowess," a background in Food Science or Hospitality, and the ability to thrive under the pressure of tight production timelines, we want you to drive our operational excellence.
Requirements:
1. Production Orchestration & Flow Mastery
Strategic Scheduling: Develop and execute high-fidelity daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on outlet demand and sales forecasts.
Workflow Engineering: Direct the daily activities of cooks, chefs, and assistants, ensuring task assignments and kitchen flow are optimized for maximum efficiency.
Dispatch Velocity: Monitor kitchen output to ensure timely preparation and dispatch of orders, meeting the high expectations of our corporate and restaurant clients.
2. Quality Sovereignty & Recipe Fidelity
Recipe Governance: Supervise cooking processes to ensure 100% consistency in taste, portion control, and visual presentation across all batches.
Ingredient Stewardship: Inspect raw materials and ingredients with a "Zero-Defect" mindset, ensuring freshness, quality, and proper storage.
Pre-Distribution Audits: Conduct routine quality checks on finished products before they are dispatched to outlets or clients, implementing immediate corrective actions where standards fall short.
3. Food Safety & Hygiene Governance
Sanitation Leadership: Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices, maintaining a pristine and compliant kitchen environment.
Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular kitchen inspections to identify and neutralize food safety or operational risks before they impact the brand.
Compliance Stewardship: Ensure full alignment with internal policies and Nigerian food safety regulatory requirements.
4. Human Capital & Asset Management
Capability Building: Train and mentor new kitchen staff on operational procedures, hygiene standards, and the "Company Way" of food preparation.
Inventory Synergy: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure the kitchen is always primed for production without excessive waste.
Asset Maintenance: Oversee the proper use of kitchen equipment, ensuring routine maintenance is performed and faults are reported promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND or B.Sc. in Food Science, Hospitality Management, Catering, or a related field.
Experience: 2–4 years of proven success in kitchen operations, food production, or quality control.
Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP principles) and quality assurance practices.
Core Competencies
Leadership Grit: Ability to direct diverse teams and manage tight production timelines under pressure.
Planning Prowess: Excellent skills in production scheduling and reporting.
Observational Detail: A meticulous eye for identifying quality issues in raw and cooked food products.
