Job Description:

  • The Project Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • This senior role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Define project scope, specifications, deliverables, and requirements in collaboration with engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans, tracking costs to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Prepare construction specifications, requests for equipment/materials, and manage procurement processes.
  • Supervise site supervisors, subcontractors, artisans, and third-party contractors, providing clear direction and guidance.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external resources for seamless execution of projects.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring profitability and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality, and regulatory standards on-site.
  • Conduct inspections, monitor progress, and resolve issues or delays promptly.
  • Review drawings and documents to ensure alignment with client requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Maintain effective communication between project managers, site staff, clients, and all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit detailed progress reports, estimates, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Monitor and manage the use of construction equipment, tools, and materials to avoid inadequacies or delays.
  • Identify risks, manage changes to scope/schedule/cost, and implement continuous improvements in construction processes.
  • Escalate issues to management when necessary and recommend corrective measures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Building Technology.
  • Master’s degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an added advantage.
  • 3–8 years’ proven experience in construction project management or supervision, with at least 2 years as a site supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction procedures, safety standards, project management principles, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software; skill in CAD software (Autodesk Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max) is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and foster productive collaboration with teams.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects within scope, budget, and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and reporting processes.
  • Innovative, resourceful, and detail-oriented with a track record of successful project delivery.

Salary

N250,000 - N275,000 per month
