Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Project Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the successful delivery of road construction projects by managing project costs, measurements, valuations, and subcontractor administration. Working closely under the supervision of the Senior Project QS, you will ensure commercial control and financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Conduct precise quantity take-offs and site measurements to ensure accurate project documentation.

• Provide essential support in preparing interim valuations and tracking project variations.

• Assist in the certification of subcontractor payments and manage subcontractor accounts.

• Contribute to regular cost reporting and project commercial monitoring.

• Interpret complex engineering drawings to ensure accurate measurement and cost assessment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Sc. or HND in Quantity Surveying.

• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Quantity Surveying, specifically within the road or civil infrastructure sector.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation, measurement standards, valuation support, and variation management.

• Commercial Acumen: Solid understanding of cost reporting and project-level commercial control.

• Professional Certification: Registration or active candidate membership with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is highly preferred.
