PROJECT OFFICER AT PATH4AIPOCUS PROJECT | PROJECT OFFICER JOBS IN EDO

Benin, Edo, Nigeria | Posted on 10/03/2026

About Company:

The PATH4AIPOCUS Project is a three-year initiative funded by the Gates Foundation. The project aligns with national and global Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Nutrition Health (MNCNH) priorities by supporting the development, validation, and scale-up of Artificial Intelligence–enabled Point-of-Care Ultrasound (AI-POCUS) within antenatal care (ANC) services in Nigeria.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and operationally disciplined Project Officer (Desk Officer) to serve as the technical and logistical anchor for the PATH4AIPOCUS grant. In the high-stakes environment of international development and research, success is defined by "Deliverable Integrity", the ability to synchronize complex research data with rigorous donor reporting and seamless stakeholder coordination. This role is designed for a "Technical Orchestrator" with 2–4 years of experience who can blend "Statistical Rigor" with the "Managerial Grit" required to function as the grant’s Chief Logistics Officer.

Your mission is to ensure "Zero-Lag Implementation and High-Fidelity Reporting." You will be the primary custodian of the project office: responsible for milestone tracking, AI-integrated data analysis, and the execution of digital communication strategies. If you possess "Analytical Prowess," proficiency in tools like SPSS, R, or Power BI, and a commitment to donor compliance, we want you to drive our grant’s success.

Requirements:

1. Technical Research & Data Sovereignty

  • Evidence-Based Design: Conduct comprehensive desk reviews and background research to inform project design and policy briefs.

  • Analytical Mastery: Utilize statistical and qualitative software (SPSS, Stata, R, NVivo, or Power BI) to interpret complex datasets and translate them into high-quality technical reports.

  • AI Integration: Leverage artificial intelligence and advanced computing to optimize research workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making for the grant.

2. Project Implementation & Logistics Governance

  • Chief Logistics Management: Oversee the "Project Office" ecosystem, managing all logistics, records, and the scheduling of critical meetings and high-level engagements.

  • Milestone Stewardship: Monitor project deliverables and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure 100% alignment with donor expectations and grant timelines.

  • Documentation Fidelity: Maintain rigorous record-keeping for audit readiness, including the preparation of detailed meeting minutes and compliance documentation.

3. Stakeholder Synergy & Content Strategy

  • Partner Coordination: Facilitate seamless collaboration between internal teams, implementing partners, and research collaborators.

  • Digital Narrative Architecture: Support the execution of digital content strategies across professional platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter/X), drafting engaging content and analyzing performance metrics.

  • Strategic Brainstorming: Contribute actively to idea generation and operational planning to enhance the organizational visibility and impact of the PATH4AIPOCUS grant.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science.

  • Experience: 2–4 years in research or development programming. (Experience with donor-funded projects is a significant advantage).

  • Technical Mastery: Proven proficiency in research methods and data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, Power BI).

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Grit: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Technological Savvy: Deep computer knowledge and an aptitude for using Artificial Intelligence in a professional context.

  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional written skills for drafting technical reports, policy briefs, and digital media content.
