Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile Project Engineer to bridge the gap between structural design and on-site execution. In this dual-capacity role, you will be responsible for developing high-precision structural designs while overseeing daily construction activities for residential and commercial real estate projects. You will ensure that every phase of the project from the first calculation to the final site inspection is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements:

• Structural Design: Develop detailed structural calculations, drawings, and load analyses for diverse projects, ensuring full compliance with local and international building codes.

• Design Review: Analyze architectural plans for structural feasibility and provide expert guidance on construction materials and methods.

• Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day on-site operations, ensuring all works align perfectly with approved drawings and technical specifications.

• Team Leadership: Coordinate subcontractors, artisans, and site workers while fostering a culture of safety and health (HSE) compliance.

• Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections to minimize rework, resolve technical site challenges, and maintain structural integrity.

• Reporting & Liaison: Act as the technical point of contact for consultants and stakeholders, providing accurate progress reports and budget monitoring.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the real estate or construction industry, with a proven background in both design and site management.

• Professional Standing: COREN registration or NSE membership is a significant advantage.

• Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of engineering tools such as AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, or SAP2000.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Nigerian building regulations, structural principles, and modern construction methodologies.
