Job Description:

Olam PFB is a market leader in branded packaged food products across West Africa, boasting a diverse portfolio that includes Tomato Paste, Noodles, Biscuits, Confectioneries, and Dairy. We are seeking a high-caliber Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Amuwo Odofin. This role is central to achieving our operational excellence goals, requiring a leader who can balance high-speed production demands with rigorous safety, quality, and cost-efficiency standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in aseptic dairy technology and a proven track record of implementing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) frameworks.

Requirements:

Production Planning & Asset Utilization

• Strategic Execution: Develop and execute production plans to meet sales demands while ensuring optimum asset utilization and cost-efficiency.

• Supply Chain Liaison: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the seamless availability of raw and packing materials while managing inventory norms.

• OEE Optimization: Analyze equipment breakdowns and implement corrective measures to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), specifically for PET bottling and Tetrapak lines.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

• WCM Leadership: Lead the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Pillar within the WCM framework and drive operational excellence across the plant.

• Quality & Safety: Ensure 100% compliance with Food Safety (HACCP/ISO) and Occupational Health & Safety requirements, alongside all applicable regulatory and statutory standards.

• Warehouse Oversight: Maintain control over raw material, packing material, and finished goods warehouses to ensure streamlined throughput.

Cost Management & Projects

• Budgetary Control: Monitor and review operating budgets, driving a "cost culture" to ensure production consumables remain within budget without compromising quality.

• Capex/Opex Projects: Partner with the Engineering team to select technologies and capacities for new projects; lead the execution, commissioning, and start-up of new production lines.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Degree: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering from a reputed institute.

• Experience: 10+ years in FMCG, with at least 3 years as Head of Manufacturing/Production.

• Technical Expertise: Direct experience managing high-speed PET bottling lines and Tetrapak lines is essential. Familiarity with Sidel bottling lines and aseptic dairy technology is highly preferred.

Certifications & Methodologies

• Must-Have: Hands-on experience implementing TPM or WCM/Operational Excellence.

• Added Advantage: Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Core Competencies

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to manage high levels of operational complexity.
