Job Description:

• The Police Specialised Services Automation Project (POSSAP) is an initiative designed to modernize service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force by automating services such as Police Character Certificates, Escort & Guard Services, Tinted Glass Permits, Firearm Licensing, and others through a centralized digital platform.
• The Product Manager will lead the strategic development and execution of the POSSAP platform, manage cross-functional teams, and oversee the product lifecycle to ensure the system meets operational, regulatory, and stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for POSSAP.
• Collaborate with the Nigeria Police Force, government agencies, and partners to gather requirements and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Lead the development and deployment of automated police services on the platform.
• Ensure a seamless and user-friendly digital experience for applicants, officers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, and operations).
• Use data and analytics to guide product improvements and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with national security, regulatory, and data protection standards.
• Monitor risks, identify challenges, and implement solutions to maintain project efficiency.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement of the platform.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field.
• Product Management, Business Administration, or Public Administration certification is an added advantage.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Product Manager, preferably in digital platforms or public sector automation.
• Experience managing large-scale technology or government projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, UX/UI, and digital platforms.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
• Familiarity with public sector policies, security, and compliance requirements in Nigeria is a plus.
