Job Description:

We are seeking a high-precision Operations & Quality Control Manager to lead our flagship facility in Bodija, Ibadan. This is a "boots-on-the-ground" leadership role that requires a rare combination of deep technical baking expertise and rigorous operational discipline. Your mission is to oversee the entire production lifecycle, ensuring that every loaf, cake, and pastry meets our exacting standards for taste, texture, and presentation.

You will not just sit in an office; you will be the heartbeat of the production floor—training staff on the perfect crumb, troubleshooting equipment, and optimizing schedules to eliminate waste. Requirements:

1. Production Orchestration & Efficiency

• Command & Control: Lead all daily operations, including mixing, baking, packaging, and logistics, to ensure the production floor runs like a well-oiled machine.

• Demand Planning: Consolidate orders and architect production schedules that meet customer demand while maintaining lean inventory levels to prevent waste.

• Efficiency Engineering: Identify bottlenecks in the production flow and implement creative solutions to increase throughput without compromising quality.

2. Hands-On Quality Assurance (QA)

• Technical Mastery: Maintain a "deep-dive" involvement in baking and decorating techniques, serving as the ultimate authority on confectionery standards.

• Stage-Gate Inspections: Perform rigorous quality checks at every milestone: raw material intake, mid-production consistency, and final aesthetic review.

• Equipment Stewardship: Oversee the preventative maintenance and proper handling of specialized industrial ovens, mixers, and decorating tools.

3. Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Mentorship: Act as the "Head Coach" for the production team, providing hands-on training on recipe execution, hygiene standards, and SOPs.

• Accountability Culture: Assign duties clearly and monitor performance, utilizing coaching or disciplinary measures to ensure the highest levels of productivity and discipline.

• Safety & Hygiene: Enforce strict health and safety protocols to ensure a pristine and compliant production environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: Significant years of experience in high-volume bakery or confectionery operations is mandatory.

• Technical IQ: Expert-level knowledge of dough fermentation, pastry arts, cake decoration, and food chemistry.

• Leadership Style: Hands-on. We are looking for a manager who is comfortable being on the floor and demonstrating techniques to the team.

• Location: Must be able to work full-time in Bodija, Ibadan.
