Our client, a high-end culinary, pastry, and events company, is seeking a strategic and proactive Operations Manager to drive day-to-day business success. You will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee the seamless integration of kitchen production, logistics, customer service, and administration.

Requirements:
Operations & Production Excellence
End-to-End Oversight: Manage daily operations across production, order fulfilment, and event delivery.
Scheduling & Forecasting: Optimize production schedules to meet order volumes, seasonal peaks, and new product launches.
Quality Control: Maintain rigorous standards across every product and service interaction to protect the brand’s premium reputation.
Continuous Improvement: Lead team briefings and reviews to foster a culture of constant optimization.
Financial Controls & Resource Management
Budgeting: Supervise petty cash, purchase orders, and operational expenditures.
Financial Reporting: Collaborate with the finance team to manage daily records, stock counts, and vendor invoice reconciliation.
Variance Analysis: Support month-end reporting with detailed operational data and cost-control recommendations.
Leadership & Team Development
People Management: Line-manage kitchen, front-of-house, and logistics staff.
Performance & Culture: Oversee onboarding, rota planning, and performance management to build a high-accountability, high-performance team.
Systems, Compliance & Supplier Relations
Process Optimization: Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency.
Audit Readiness: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Vendor Management: Negotiate terms with key suppliers, manage procurement processes, and ensure consistent ingredient/packaging supply.
Client Experience & Performance Reporting
Client Advocacy: Serve as the primary operational contact for key accounts, ensuring all commitments are met or exceeded.
Data-Driven Leadership: Track KPIs (yield, wastage, labor efficiency, output) and present actionable analysis to the Managing Director.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: 5+ years of operations management experience within the hospitality, food & beverage, event management, or premium consumer brand sectors.
Operational Mindset: Highly proactive with the ability to identify potential bottlenecks before they impact production.
Financial Literacy: Strong ability to manage P&Ls, interpret operational reports, and control costs effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using production planning software, spreadsheets, and digital inventory management tools.
Personal Attributes:
Calm and decisive under high-pressure event environments.
