Job Description:
Are you a lawyer seeking a Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) for your NYSC year, equipped with strong problem-solving, communication, research, and analytical skills?
Responsibilities include:
Assess legal risks in documentation and provide guidance on acceptable levels of risk.
Interpret laws, regulations, and rulings for both individuals and corporate entities.
Conduct comprehensive legal research and gather supporting evidence.
Ensure all documents are properly authorized before execution.
Provide legal advice and clarify legal matters.
Represent clients during arbitration and mediation sessions.
Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as wills, contracts, trusts, and deeds.
Handle regulatory compliance and advisory services.
Deliver creative and strategic solutions to client challenges.
Represent clients in civil or criminal court proceedings.
Supervise paralegals and legal assistants.
Prepare pleadings, legal notices, and appear in court as required.
Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) is required.
Must be called to the Nigerian Bar.
Currently seeking a Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) for NYSC.
Skilled in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents.
Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a strategic mindset.
Demonstrates leadership qualities, sound judgment, and keen attention to detail.
Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking abilities.
