Job Description:

Are you a lawyer seeking a Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) for your NYSC year, equipped with strong problem-solving, communication, research, and analytical skills?

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess legal risks in documentation and provide guidance on acceptable levels of risk.

  • Interpret laws, regulations, and rulings for both individuals and corporate entities.

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and gather supporting evidence.

  • Ensure all documents are properly authorized before execution.

  • Provide legal advice and clarify legal matters.

  • Represent clients during arbitration and mediation sessions.

  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents such as wills, contracts, trusts, and deeds.

  • Handle regulatory compliance and advisory services.

  • Deliver creative and strategic solutions to client challenges.

  • Represent clients in civil or criminal court proceedings.

  • Supervise paralegals and legal assistants.

  • Prepare pleadings, legal notices, and appear in court as required.

Requirements:

 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) is required.

  • Must be called to the Nigerian Bar.

  • Currently seeking a Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) for NYSC.

  • Skilled in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents.

  • Strong analytical and research capabilities, with a strategic mindset.

  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, sound judgment, and keen attention to detail.

  • Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking abilities.

 

Note: Male candidates are preferred to ensure gender balance. Only applicants residing in or around the Ikeja axis will be considered.
