Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and technically rigorous Registered Nurse to join our clinical team at LECC Hospital. In a modern healthcare environment, success is defined by "Clinical Vigilance", the ability to monitor subtle changes in patient conditions and intervene with precision. This role is designed for a "Care Architect" with 2–4 years of experience who can blend "Advanced Nursing Skills" with the "Empathetic Communication" required to support patients and their families through the recovery process.
Your mission is to ensure "Optimal Patient Outcomes and Systematic Clinical Safety." You will be a central pillar of our inpatient and outpatient services: responsible for administering complex treatments, assisting in specialized procedures, and maintaining the integrity of our medical records. If you possess "Acute Clinical Judgment," a valid NMCN license, and a commitment to infection control, we want you to drive our excellence in care.
Requirements:
1. Direct Patient Care & Physiological Monitoring
Clinical Vigilance: Provide comprehensive nursing care, maintaining a constant watch over patient vital signs and physical conditions to detect early signs of clinical deterioration.
Prescriptive Accuracy: Administer medications and therapeutic treatments strictly as prescribed, ensuring the "Five Rights" of medication administration are met at all times.
Diagnostic Assistance: Support physicians during advanced medical examinations and clinical procedures, ensuring the sterile field is maintained and patient comfort is prioritized.
2. Documentation & Patient Education
Data Fidelity: Maintain high-fidelity, real-time patient medical records that provide a clear and accurate history of treatment and response.
Recovery Advocacy: Educate patients and their families on complex treatment plans and post-discharge care instructions to minimize readmission rates.
Interdisciplinary Synergy: Collaborate with the broader medical team to ensure a seamless transition of care during shift handovers.
3. Infection Control & Safety Stewardship
Biohazard Sovereignty: Strictly adhere to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) protocols to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors from hospital-acquired infections.
Clinical Environment Management: Ensure that all nursing stations and patient rooms are managed with the highest standards of hygiene and organizational discipline.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of a Registered Nurse (RN) qualification from a recognized institution.
Licensure: Must possess a valid and current nursing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Experience: 2–4 years of active clinical experience, with a strong preference for candidates with significant hospital-based practice.
Core Competencies
Interpersonal Grit: Excellent communication skills to manage patient expectations and provide compassionate support.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery of fundamental nursing procedures and the operation of standard clinical equipment.
Detail Orientation: A "Zero-Error" mindset regarding medication dosages and medical record keeping.
