We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure to support the ISP's services.
- This role involves ensuring optimal network performance, scalability, and security.
- The Network Engineer collaborates with the NOC, operations, and customer service teams to deliver high-quality internet and data services to customers while maintaining the integrity of the network.
Responsibilities
- Ensure network designs are scalable and support current and future service demands.
- Work with vendors and service providers to integrate new technologies and systems.
- Monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks, failures, and other issues using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Zabbix.
- Conduct root cause analysis of network issues and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Troubleshoot network problems related to connectivity, latency, routing, switching, and traffic management.
- Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain a secure network environment.
- Monitor network usage and plan for future capacity upgrades based on traffic growth and business needs.
- Ensure the network is resilient and redundant to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
- Provide technical support to other departments during the deployment of new services or systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Participate in proof-of-concept testing for new networking products and services.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- 3-4 years of experience in network engineering, preferably within an ISP or telecommunications company.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Huawei.
- Strong knowledge of IP protocols
- Strong expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring and management tools like SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Zabbix, Netbox.
Salary
