Job Description:

The Medical/Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s pharmaceutical products to hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, healthcare professionals, and distributors within the assigned territory. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, maintaining strong customer relationships, increasing product awareness, and ensuring market penetration in alignment with company objectives.

Requirements:

  • Promotional Activities: Detail pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Sales Target Achievement: Meet assigned sales targets and business objectives within the designated territory.

  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers and distributors.

  • Market Coverage: Conduct regular visits to pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and distributors to generate orders and ensure product availability.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing, and market trends; provide regular feedback to Management.

  • Operational Excellence: Organize product presentations, medical outreaches, and promotional activities.

  • Merchandising: Ensure proper product visibility and merchandising in the market.

  • Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

  • Financial Support: Follow up on customer payments and assist in debt recovery efforts as needed.

  • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to company policies and pharmaceutical industry regulations.

  • Professional Development: Actively participate in sales meetings, training programs, and company marketing campaigns.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Biochemistry, or a related science field.

  • Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Medical/Sales Representative, preferably within a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, sales techniques, and territory management.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; result-oriented and self-motivated.

  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
