Job Description:

Technical Support:

• Responsible for technical specialized repairs on mission- critical datacenter systems requiring sophisticated analytical problem solving techniques to identify cause

Reporting:

• Reviews specialized contractual reports and activities

Site Maintenance:

• Oversees the site maintenance and up keep of Data Center infrastructures according to Equinix global standards

Assess Adherence to Policy:

• Ensures all repairs performed on all Data Center infrastructure are according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and best practices

Complexity & Problem Solving:

• Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of specialized failed critical components
• Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues
• Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points

Collaboration & Interaction:

• Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes
• Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter, often requiring persuasion
• Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters

Design:

• Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)

Requirements:

• Typically requires proven years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or proven years and a Master’s degree, or a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience.
