Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and technically rigorous M&E Engineer to anchor the mechanical and electrical infrastructure of our high-value assets in Ikoyi. In a premium real estate and industrial landscape, success is defined by "Integrated Systems Reliability", the ability to harmonize complex HVAC, power distribution, and plumbing systems into a single, high-efficiency engine. This role is designed for a "Multi-Disciplinary Architect" with 2–5 years of experience who can blend "Advanced CAD Modeling" with the "Field Grit" required to lead contractors and troubleshoot pneumatic or electronic failures in real-time.

Your mission is to ensure "Optimal System Performance and Uncompromising Safety Compliance." You will be the primary steward of the building's lifecycle: responsible for the design-to-installation pipeline, enforcing global standards (ASHRAE/NFPA), and implementing automation to drive down energy costs. If you possess "Technical Problem-Solving Mastery," expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, and a background in complex facility management, we want you to drive our engineering excellence.

Requirements:

1. Systems Architecture & Digital Modeling

  • Digital Prototyping: Develop high-fidelity 2D/3D CAD models, electrical schematics, and intricate piping layouts to guide flawless field execution.

  • Energy Optimization: Identify and implement energy-efficient technologies and automation (PLCs) to reduce operational overhead and carbon footprint.

  • Documentation Stewardship: Maintain an updated technical library of as-built drawings and system specifications for rapid maintenance reference.

2. Installation Governance & Field Oversight

  • Contractor Orchestration: Supervise the installation of HVAC units, power distribution boards, and industrial machinery, ensuring contractors adhere to strict quality benchmarks.

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Manage budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring that complex engineering projects meet strict delivery timelines without cost overruns.

  • Hardware Integration: Bridge the gap between mechanical hardware and electronic controls, ensuring seamless communication across all building sub-systems.

3. Asset Reliability & Regulatory Compliance

  • Diagnostic Leadership: Lead the troubleshooting of complex malfunctions involving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components to maintain near-zero downtime.

  • Safety & Standards Governance: Enforce unwavering compliance with industry codes (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE) and lead rigorous safety risk assessments on-site.

  • Commissioning & Testing: Conduct performance audits and stress tests on new installations to verify system reliability before final turnover.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is a distinct advantage).

  • Experience: 2–5 years in M&E system design, construction, or high-end facility management.

  • Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.

  • Technical Breadth: Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), HVAC systems, and power distribution grids.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Grit: Exceptional ability to diagnose multi-layered technical failures and propose root-cause solutions.

  • Project Diplomacy: Strong ability to explain complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders and management.

  • Licensure: A Professional Engineer (PE) license or CEM (Certified Energy Manager) certification is highly desirable.
