Job Description:
- Ensure security intelligence information is collated, analyzed and applied towards ensuring the best of protection level for MTNN personnel and operations in area of responsibility.
- Ensure that threat and vulnerability assessments are carried-out periodically and appropriate remedial actions advised, implemented and sustained.
- Ensure that security policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) developed by the National Office are implemented in the region. Ensure that all incidents are investigated and reported to the National Office, in line with approved procedures.
- Implement department’s standard quality control measures and departmental KPIs.
- Monitor all security service providers and ensure they discharge their obligations in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Provide clear leadership, especially in times of crisis in assigned region, coach and mentor direct reports.
- Implement risk management strategy that maximizes personnel safety from violence and the threat of violence in area of responsibility
- Ensure safety of MTNN personnel on personal security such as street crime, assault, robbery, kidnap in area of responsibility
- Ensure safety of employees, business operations, premises, information, network infrastructures in area of responsibility
- Train and mentor security coordinators, contract staff and other non-security specialists
- Carry out specific investigations on wrongdoing by staff and criminal activities targeted at MTNN
- Implement crisis management plan as developed by the National Security Manager
- To oversee the development and delivery of a range of analytic and persuasive reports, tailored analysis, observations and recommendations to department leadership and enterprise business partners to oversee the development and delivery of a range of analytic and persuasive reports, tailored analysis, observations and recommendations to department leadership and enterprise business partners.
- Serves as the primary resource for security issues within the assigned region.
- Manages, and coordinates, security programs within the region to address a variety of issues including, privacy, physical security, investigations, regulatory compliance, illicit trade, and ensuring that programs meet appropriate regulatory guidelines.
- Monitors intelligence sources and disseminates security alerts and warnings to country and project leadership, security management teams, and to travelers.
- Complies with all applicable laws, statutes, or standards from regulatory and accrediting agencies within the region.
- Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
Requirements:
6-13 years’ experience which includes:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; as a Security Manager
- Experience working in a medium to large organization
- Experience working in the Telecommunications ecosystem
- Senior command experience in security force (military, police, security service).
- Experience in corporate security environment.
- Record of accomplishment in security management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- First degree in any related discipline
- Fluent in English
- Formal training/ Certification in Security Management (CPP, CSMP)
