Job Description:

  • Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and reliability of critical operational assets and heavy equipment.
  • This role is ideal for a proactive maintenance professional with strong leadership capabilities and hands-on experience managing industrial equipment within construction, dredging, or infrastructure environments.
  • The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and reliability of all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure operations.
  • The successful candidate will ensure maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, compliance with HSE regulations, and effective management of maintenance teams and resources.

 

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Plan and schedule routine and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Drive maintenance best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure optimal availability and reliability of critical operational equipment.

 

Asset & Equipment Management:

  • Oversee maintenance of heavy equipment, pipelines, cranes, trenchless technology rigs, and auxiliary machinery.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance assessments.
  • Manage equipment lifecycle, replacements, and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for timely availability of spare parts and consumables.

 

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure full compliance with HSE policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
  • Develop and enforce maintenance SOPs and safety procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, certifications, and inspection records.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and supervise maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Set performance KPIs and conduct regular reviews.
  • Provide technical and safety training to maintenance personnel.
  • Promote a culture of proactive maintenance and operational excellence.

 

Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets.
  • Monitor maintenance costs and equipment performance.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Equipment Availability Rate: 95%+ uptime.
  • Reduction in Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
  • Improvement in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
  • 100% HSE Compliance.
  • Maintenance Cost Optimization.
  • Planned Maintenance Ratio Improvement.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 8–10 years of maintenance experience within EPC, construction, oil & gas, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
  • At least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial maintenance role.
  • Experience managing heavy-duty construction and industrial equipment is essential.

 

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of CMMS, Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning, asset management, and equipment reliability improvement.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive and safety-focused mindset.
