Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Payroll & Compensation Manager to lead our end-to-end payroll operations and strategic compensation frameworks. In a multinational environment, payroll is more than data entry—it is a critical intersection of financial integrity, tax compliance, and employee trust.

You will own the entire payroll lifecycle, ensuring that our global standards for accuracy and timeliness are met without compromise. Beyond the numbers, you will act as a strategic partner to Finance and Talent Management, using market data and compensation studies to ensure our Total Rewards strategy remains competitive and compliant. If you have 8+ years of experience navigating complex tax laws and HRIS platforms, we invite you to lead our compensation team.

Requirements:

1. End-to-End Payroll Governance

  • Operational Precision: Manage the complete payroll cycle, including wage calculations, statutory deductions, tax withholdings, and adjustments.

  • Data Stewardship: Maintain high-fidelity payroll records, ensuring absolute data integrity regarding employee earnings, benefits, and tax history.

  • Disbursement Excellence: Guarantee the accurate and timely payment of salaries and benefits, maintaining the organization's reputation for reliability.

2. Strategic Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Market Intelligence: Participate in salary surveys and compensation studies to benchmark our offerings against global and local market trends.

  • Budgetary Alignment: Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to provide accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for compensation and benefits expenses.

  • Strategic Reporting: Collaborate with Talent Management to analyze payroll data, helping to shape future workforce and compensation strategies.

3. Compliance, Tax & Employee Relations

  • Regulatory Mastery: Ensure all payroll activities comply with local and international tax laws, labor regulations, and multinational corporate policies.

  • Stakeholder Diplomacy: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding taxes and deductions, resolving issues with professional empathy and clarity.

  • Audit Readiness: Maintain audit-ready documentation for internal and external financial reviews.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: B.Sc. degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in payroll processing and tax compliance, preferably within a multinational company.

  • Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), compensation management software, and advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, and modeling).

  • Legal IQ: In-depth knowledge of current payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory compliance requirements.

Core Competencies

  • Total Rewards Management: A holistic understanding of how compensation and benefits drive employee retention.

  • Analytical Accuracy: An uncompromising eye for detail and a high level of mathematical precision.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to explain complex tax or payroll adjustments to employees at all levels.

  • Employee Relations: Ability to handle sensitive financial inquiries with discretion and professionalism.
