Job Description:

• The Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and supervising food production while ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, hygiene, and efficiency.
• In a food management company, the role also involves managing kitchen operations, controlling food costs, maintaining quality consistency, and ensuring timely meal preparation for retail and wholesale distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes and standards.
• Plan daily food production based on sales demand.
• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation.
• Monitor food inventory and request supplies when needed.
• Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures.
• Control food waste and minimize spoilage.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Work closely with management on food costing and menu pricing.
• Ensure meals are prepared and delivered on time for customers.
