Job Description:
We are seeking a commercially astute and relationship-driven Key Account Manager to oversee our most critical institutional partnerships across Nigeria. In a competitive market, sustainable growth is driven by the ability to move beyond transactional selling toward becoming a "Strategic Advisor" to top-tier clients. This role is designed for a "Revenue Architect", a professional who can blend sophisticated negotiation skills with the data-driven insight required to scale high-value portfolios.
Your mission is to ensure "Portfolio Expansion and Client Advocacy." You will be the primary bridge between the company and its largest revenue-generating accounts: responsible for cross-selling solutions, negotiating long-term contracts, and ensuring absolute client retention. If you possess "Strategic Grit" and the professional maturity to navigate complex decision-making units within major corporations, we want you to lead our key accounts.
Requirements:
1. Portfolio Growth & Value Engineering
Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute multi-year growth plans for each assigned key account, identifying "White Space" opportunities for product expansion and service integration.
Revenue Optimization: Meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets through proactive up-selling and cross-selling of the company's full suite of solutions.
Solution Customization: Collaborate with technical and product teams to engineer bespoke solutions that solve the specific business challenges of high-value clients.
2. Relationship Governance & Stakeholder Diplomacy
Multi-Level Engagement: Build and maintain deep-rooted relationships across the client’s organization, from procurement officers to C-suite executives.
Conflict Resolution: Act as the primary point of escalation for service failures, ensuring rapid resolution and the maintenance of institutional trust.
Client Advocacy: Serve as the "Voice of the Customer" internally, ensuring that the company’s product roadmap and service delivery align with the evolving needs of our top accounts.
3. Market Intelligence & Contractual Integrity
Competitive Defense: Monitor competitor activities within key accounts, designing and implementing defensive strategies to safeguard our market share.
Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation and renewal of high-value contracts, ensuring all terms are commercially viable and legally robust.
Data-Driven Reporting: Utilize CRM data to provide management with accurate sales forecasts, account health scores, and regional market insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. (An MBA or professional certification like NIMN is a strong advantage).
Experience: Proven track record in B2B Account Management, Corporate Sales, or Business Development, specifically managing high-net-worth institutional clients.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Nigerian corporate landscape and the regulatory environment of your specific sector.
Core Competencies
