Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance operations in Victoria Island. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our finance team, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, assisting with reporting, and maintaining the highest standards of financial compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to gain exposure to the fast-paced and rewarding investment services industry.

Requirements:

• Financial Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate accounting records and financial documentation.

• Transaction Processing: Handle the processing of invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries with precision.

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Reconciliation & Analysis: Execute bank reconciliations and perform detailed account analyses.

• Budgeting Support: Provide assistance in financial forecasting and the preparation of annual budgets.

• AR/AP Management: Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable to ensure healthy cash flow.

• Compliance & Audit: Support internal and external audit processes and ensure all financial activities align with company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Experience: 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Technical Skills: * Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with industry-standard accounting software.

• Core Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Preferred: A professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) or active progress toward obtaining one is a distinct advantage.
