Job Description:

We are seeking an analytically rigorous, highly technical, and system-oriented IT Officer to anchor our information technology framework and protect digital operations at our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Mowe. Operating within a heavily regulated, performance-driven manufacturing landscape, you will hold direct accountability for the uptime, network security, and data integrity of both plant floor operations and corporate office systems.

The ideal candidate bridges the gap between traditional enterprise IT support (servers, network topologies, hardware endpoints) and industrial systems infrastructure. You must possess the technical acumen to govern localized area networks (LANs), secure operational databases, and optimize automated manufacturing system linkages, while ensuring 100% compliance with digital record-keeping standards mandatory for pharmaceutical safety and audit protocols.

Requirements:

1. Industrial IT Infrastructure & Network Architecture

• System Uptime Governance: Design, maintain, and optimize the factory’s physical and wireless localized networks (LAN/WLAN), routing protocols, and high-speed fiber or microwave internet linkages to ensure uninterrupted operations.

• Server & Cloud Administration: Manage on-premise and cloud-based server environments, configuring directory services (Active Directory), user access permissions, and central domain policies.

• Hardware Lifecycle Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, patch management, and maintenance of all enterprise hardware assets, including workstations, biometrics access controllers, network printers, and CCTV surveillance frameworks.

2. Pharmaceutical Automation & Data Management

• Manufacturing Systems Interface: Provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 systems support for specialized pharmaceutical operational technology—including Inventory Management Systems, automated weighing scales, and enterprise Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) production modules.

• Airtight Data Hygiene: Architect, automate, and continuously test the plant’s disaster recovery protocols and data backup schedules, guaranteeing that production logs, batch records, and formulation data are securely archived and easily retrievable for regulatory audits.

3. Cybersecurity & Compliance Enforcement

• Perimeter Defense: Enforce rigid network security baselines by continuously monitoring enterprise firewalls, deployment architectures, anti-malware systems, and endpoint security loops to eliminate data breaches or ransomware exposures.

• Audit Readiness: Maintain impeccable digital documentation, network diagrams, asset inventories, and software licensing records that align perfectly with internal quality controls and external regulatory standards (e.g., NAFDAC, PCN, or ISO guidelines).

4. Technical Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Helpdesk Command: Manage rapid-response technical support systems for on-site staff, factory supervisors, and executive teams, resolving connectivity bottlenecks, hardware errors, or software crashes swiftly.

• Vendor Governance: Act as the primary technical liaison for third-party IT service providers, internet service providers (ISPs), hardware contractors, and specialized software engineers.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Academic Foundation

• Degree: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), or a strictly related quantitative technical field from an accredited institution.

Experience & Proven Track Record

• Domain Longevity: Minimum of 5–6 years of progressive, verifiable experience operating as an ICT Personnel, Network Engineer, or Systems Administrator.

• Sector Footprint: Direct, practical experience managing IT systems within a structured manufacturing company—ideally within the Pharmaceutical, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Chemical, or Allied Industrial sectors—is highly essential.

Technical Competencies & Certifications

• Professional Edge: Active industry-recognized technical credentials—such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or related infrastructure qualifications—will be treated as a major competitive advantage.

• Technical Tool Stack: Exceptional command of network topology design, network switch/router configuration, server virtualization frameworks, backup automation software, and SQL-based enterprise database architectures.

• Behavioral Matrix: Proactive problem-solving capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the emotional resilience required to operate effectively under pressure in a high-throughput factory environment.

• Geographic Alignment: Candidates must be willing and fully available to operate daily on-site at our manufacturing plant in Mowe, Ogun State. Proximity to the Mowe, Magboro, Ibafo, or immediate Lagos-Ibadan Expressway axis is strongly preferred to ensure a sustainable commute.
