Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, ethical, and analytical Internal Auditor with specialized experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. This role is not just about numbers; it is about ensuring that our back-of-house operational standards, front-of-house service quality, and overall financial integrity are perfectly aligned. You will act as a strategic advisor to management, assessing risks, identifying process inefficiencies, and ensuring that our organization’s assets from inventory to revenue are fully protected.

Requirements:

• Operational & Financial Auditing: Assess business processes to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of our products and services. Evaluate internal controls to safeguard assets and document all audit procedures meticulously.

• Risk & Compliance: Identify company risks and evaluate the efficacy of our risk management strategies. Ensure the organization remains fully compliant with all relevant labor, health, and financial statutes.

• Investigative Integrity: Promote a culture of ethics by identifying improper conduct and leading investigations into any suspected fraud.

• Operational Partnership: Work closely with both the kitchen team and the front-of-house staff to understand operational bottlenecks and achieve positive, profitable results.

• Strategic Reporting: Communicate findings, best practices, and actionable recommendations to senior management. Provide formal professional opinions on the overall results of internal audits (Unqualified, Qualified, Adverse, or Disclaimer).

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Relevant academic qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the Restaurant/Hospitality industry is required. You must understand the unique challenges of inventory management, food cost control, and POS reconciliation in a restaurant setting.

• Key Competencies:

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to dissect complex processes and identify areas for cost-saving or quality improvement.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate technical audit findings into clear, persuasive recommendations for management.

  • Integrity: Unquestionable ethical standards, particularly when conducting investigations or reporting sensitive findings.

  • Collaboration: A "solutions-first" mindset when working with operational teams (Kitchen/FOH).
