Job Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and integrity-driven Internal Auditor to safeguard our financial assets and ensure operational transparency in Enugu. You will act as the independent check on our financial workflows, verifying that every transaction from branch sales to inventory movement is accurate, authorized, and compliant with company policy. This role is essential for minimizing financial risk and maintaining the highest standard of accountability across our business units.

Requirements:

• Transaction Verification: Conduct thorough reviews of payment vouchers, invoices, receipts, and general accounting records to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Cash & Bank Oversight: Perform periodic cash counts and detailed bank reconciliation reviews to ensure funds are accounted for and reconciled correctly.

• Inventory Control: Lead both periodic and surprise stock counts. You will be responsible for performing rigorous reconciliations between physical inventory and our digital system records.

• Sales & Collection Audit: Review daily sales reports from branches and field representatives. Verify that all customer payments and collections are processed in alignment with company procedures.

• Authorization Compliance: Enforce internal controls by ensuring that all expenditures are properly authorized before and after the fact.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc/HND) or Master’s Degree (MBA/MSc/MA) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in an auditing or accounting function.

• Professional Certification: Relevant professional certification (e.g., ACA, ICAN, ACCA) is highly desired.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software and financial management systems.

  • Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel for data reconciliation and reporting.
