Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Audit Team Lead to oversee and strengthen the internal control framework of our logistics operations.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit activities, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and supporting management in risk mitigation and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audit plans across operations, finance, fleet, warehouse, and administrative functions.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Supervise and mentor internal audit team members, ensuring quality and timely delivery of audit reports.
• Conduct audits on revenue assurance, cash handling, inventory management, and asset utilization.
• Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and areas of fraud risk, and recommend practical corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management and relevant committees.
• Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure proper implementation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support external auditors and regulatory reviews when required.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, and audit methodologies.
• Experience in leading audit teams and managing multiple audit assignments.
• High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Strong report writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit tools.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA, or CISA is an added advantage.
• 5–7 years’ experience in internal audit, preferably within a logistics, transport, or supply chain environment.
