Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and structurally elite Importation and Bank Reconciliation Officer to anchor the trade finance engine of the organization. In a specialized commercial landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the speed of the clearing cycle and the precision of the Domiciliary ledger success is defined by "Trade Sovereignty" the ability to harmonize the importation lifecycle (from PFI to Final Delivery) with the clinical precision required for Form M, LC Management, and GIT (Goods In Transit) Accounting. This role is designed for a "Fiscal Architect" with an HND/B.Sc. and 1–2 years of experience who can blend "Logistical Grit" (tracking clearing and insurance activities) with the "Strategic Agility" required to reconcile Naira and Domiciliary accounts.

Requirements:

1. Orchestration & Trade Governance

  • Importation Sovereignty: Execute prompt documentation for each batch—covering PFI, Insurance, Form M, and LC—acting as the primary "Source of Trade Compliance."

  • GIT Architecture: Maintain rigorous GLs for Goods In Transit (GIT) and provide detailed schedules to support balances, providing the "Structural Foundation" for asset tracking.

  • Integrity Stewardship: Ensure the daily update of international partner GLs, ensuring the "Source of External Credibility" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Reconciliation Logic

  • Liquidity Sovereignty: Ensure daily posting of all bank transactions across local and domiciliary accounts, acting as the primary "Source of Cash Visibility."

  • Reconciliation Architecture: Submit monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts with millimetric focus, providing the "Functional Foundation" for fiscal balance.

  • Vendor Stewardship: Manage vendor GLs and schedules for local truck and semitrailer purchases, maintaining the "Source of Procurement Accuracy."

3. Operational Integrity & Systems Power

  • ERP Sovereignty: Ensure all transactions on each batch of importation are correctly booked on the ERP, acting as the primary "Source of Digital Fidelity."

  • Communication Architecture: Collaborate with clearing agents and bank partners to ensure prompt delivery of goods, providing the "Relational Foundation" for supply chain fluidly.

  • Velocity Logic: Utilize 1–2 years of Accounts expertise to accelerate the weekly and monthly reconciliation cycles, maximizing the "Source of Financial Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1 – 2 years of experience within the accounts department of a similar organization.

  • Technical Power: High proficiency in Accounting Software (ERP) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Leadership Mastery: Demonstrated experience in leadership roles with a capacity to work independently.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Grit: Excellent bookkeeping skills and a sharp eye for discrepancies in international trade documents.

  • Trade Sovereignty: Deep understanding of the Form M, LC, and Insurance lifecycle in Nigeria.
