Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resource Officer to join our team in Ibadan. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the full spectrum of HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and payroll administration. You will act as a key point of contact for staff, ensuring that company policies are communicated effectively and that the workplace remains productive, compliant, and supportive.

To ensure operational efficiency and easy access to our facility, we are specifically seeking candidates who currently reside within the Apete or Oluyole Estate areas of Ibadan.

Requirements:

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Talent Acquisition: Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews.

• Onboarding: Facilitate the orientation process for new hires, ensuring they have the necessary tools, access, and information to integrate smoothly into their roles.

Employee Relations & Welfare

• Policy Implementation: Communcate and enforce company policies and procedures in line with the Nigerian Labour Act.

• Conflict Resolution: Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters professionally, fostering a fair and harmonious work environment.

• Engagement: Support the planning of staff engagement activities and welfare programs to boost morale and retention.

Administration & Compliance

• Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, tracking leave, attendance, and performance records.

• Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll, ensuring all deductions (taxes, pensions, etc.) are accurate and compliant.

• Reporting: Prepare periodic HR reports for management, highlighting key metrics such as turnover rates and headcount.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Possession of a relevant qualification (B.Sc. or HND) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience in a Human Resources role is highly preferred.

• Residency: Must reside within Apete or Oluyole Estate, Ibadan. Applications from candidates outside these specific neighborhoods will not be considered.

• Core Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPM) is an added advantage.
