With a focus on innovation, safety, and technical excellence, we provide end-to-end solutions that meet global standards and exceed client expectations.

Job Description:

We are seeking a high-precision and safety-conscious HSE Officer to anchor our operations across our Lagos, Ogun, and Zamfara sites. In the high-risk world of construction and industrial operations, success is defined by "Zero-Harm Integrity", the ability to harmonize rigorous regulatory compliance with proactive hazard identification. This role is designed for a "Risk Architect" who can blend "Technical Safety Knowledge" with the "Leadership Grit" required to enforce PPE compliance, conduct clinical accident investigations, and lead emergency response coordination.

Requirements:

1. Hazard Architecture & Risk Mitigation

  • Safety Enforcement: Implement and enforce site-specific HSE policies and procedures in strict alignment with company standards and Nigerian regulatory requirements.

  • Risk Intelligence: Conduct daily site safety inspections to identify dormant hazards and ensure continuous compliance with safe work practices.

  • JHA Orchestration: Carry out clinical Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for construction activities, ensuring that robust control measures are implemented before work begins.

2. Incident Governance & Reporting Fidelity

  • Clinical Investigations: Lead the investigation into accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports that identify root causes and recommend preventive actions.

  • Documentation Sovereignty: Maintain accurate and audit-ready HSE records, including incident logs, inspection reports, and safety training documentation.

  • Corrective Action: Advise site management on safety improvements and ensure that corrective actions from safety audits are implemented with high velocity.

3. Training & Personnel Stewardship

  • Safety Mentorship: Conduct high-impact toolbox talks, safety inductions, and regular training sessions to foster a "Safety-First" mindset among workers and subcontractors.

  • PPE Governance: Ensure the 100% correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all site personnel and visitors.

  • Contractor Oversight: Monitor the safety performance of subcontractors, ensuring their operations align with the site’s overarching safety framework.

4. Environmental & Emergency Management

  • Environmental Stewardship: Implement proper environmental management practices, including waste disposal, pollution control, and rigorous site housekeeping.

  • Emergency Readiness: Coordinate emergency response procedures, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and the maintenance of first aid kits and fire extinguishers.

  • Infrastructure Safety: Ensure the availability and high-fidelity maintenance of safety signage and emergency response equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Proven experience in a dedicated HSE or Safety Officer role, preferably within the construction or industrial sector.

  • Education: Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or local HSE certifications).

  • Location: Readiness to manage safety protocols across Lagos, Ogun, and Zamfara sites.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical Grit: Ability to perform deep-dive risk assessments and accident investigations.

  • Communication Power: Strong verbal skills for leading safety training and toolbox talks.

  • Operational Discipline: A "Meticulous Mindset" for maintaining safety documentation and equipment readiness.
