Job Description:
The HRIS & People Analyst plays a critical role in managing HR data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting seamless payroll and record-keeping operations to drive organizational efficiency.
Requirements:
1. Headcount Reporting & Analytics
Generate and submit monthly headcount reports by the 8th of every month.
Develop analytics dashboards with insights on employee trends, turnover, and workforce metrics.
Present data-driven insights to management to support decision-making.
2. Audit & Compliance
Conduct periodic pre-audit checks to ensure documentation readiness.
Maintain compliance with organizational policies and statutory regulations.
Track, log, and resolve all audit issues within one week of notice.
Maintain an active audit tracker with action plans and resolution timelines.
3. Payroll Support
Compile and deliver monthly payroll inputs (including overtime data, sales bonuses, and productivity bonuses) to the Payroll Team by the 10th of each month.
Ensure the accuracy of all payroll-related data.
Provide clarification to employees on payroll-related issues as needed.
4. Employee Records & Filing
Supervise the completion of new employee filing by the 15th of the new month.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and digital employee and manager files.
Regularly audit files for accuracy and completeness.
5. Policy Development & Business Support
Review, develop, and update HR policies to reflect business needs and compliance.
Manage a central, accessible repository for all HR policies.
Provide HR support for cross-functional projects and initiatives as required by the Head of Reward and Shared Services.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualifications
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Certifications: Professional certification in HR (e.g., CIPM, PHRi, SPHRi) or Data Analytics (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Excel for Data Analysis) is a strong advantage.
Experience
Years of Experience: Typically 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, HRIS management, or data analysis roles.
Industry Context: Previous experience in a structured corporate environment or a shared services HR department is preferred.
Specific Experience: Proven track record in managing HR reporting, payroll administration, and audit compliance processes.
Technical Skills
HRIS Proficiency: Hands-on experience with HR Information Systems and database management.
Advanced Excel: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, and data visualization/dashboards) is mandatory for reporting and payroll processing.
Data Analytics: Ability to translate raw HR data into actionable insights and visual dashboards.
Compliance: Sound understanding of Nigerian labor laws, statutory regulations, and standard HR audit procedures.
