Job Description:

The Head of Projects serves as the most senior technical and operational leader of the construction division. This individual holds full accountability for project delivery, cost control, quality, timelines, profitability, and compliance across all construction and infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

• Strategic & Executive Leadership: Define and execute the vision for the construction division.

• Project & Program Delivery: Oversee the lifecycle of all infrastructure projects.

• Commercial & Cost Management: Provide leadership in quantity surveying and fiscal oversight.

• Government & Institutional Projects: Manage high-stakes projects and navigate complex regulatory environments.

• Contract, Procurement & Negotiation: Lead high-value contract negotiations and procurement cycles.

• Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to the highest safety and industry quality standards.

• People, Team & Capability Development: Mentor multi-disciplinary teams and build technical capability.

• Financial & Performance Accountability: Full P&L responsibility for the division.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. (MBA or Master’s degree is a strong advantage).

• Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience, with at least 3–4 years in a senior leadership role.

• Professional Certification: PMP, NIQS, and COREN are highly required.

• Track Record: Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-billion-naira projects and leading competitive government/institutional tendering processes.
