TeamAce Limited - Our client, a Microfinance Bank, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

• The role is responsible for managing the full credit lifecycle from application review to recovery, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• It involves evaluating client creditworthiness, overseeing portfolio performance, leading the credit team, and providing strategic insights through regular credit and risk reporting to support sound decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end credit process, including loan application review, approval, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery.
• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Evaluate credit worthiness of potential and existing clients and make recommendations in line with the bank’s risk appetite.
• Monitor the loan portfolio to ensure high collection rates and minimal default.
• Supervise and support the credit team to achieve set targets and maintain quality standards.
• Prepare and present detailed credit and risk management reports to management for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or HND in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a microfinance or retail banking environment.
• Postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIBN, ICAN, Risk Management certifications) will be an added advantage.
• Proven track record in credit management, loan processing, and collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
