Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Head, Human Capital to lead our people operations and cultivate a high-performance culture. As the leader of our HR function, you will be responsible for aligning our human capital strategy with the organization’s long-term business goals. You will act as a key advisor to leadership, ensuring that we attract, develop, and retain the top-tier talent required to drive our continued growth and success.
Requirements:
Strategic Talent Management: Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and talent retention initiatives to build a resilient and capable workforce.
Performance & Engagement: Design and drive performance management cycles and employee engagement programs that foster a culture of accountability and high morale.
Operational Excellence: Oversee payroll accuracy, ensure timely HR policy updates, and maintain rigorous compliance with Nigerian labour laws.
Learning & Development (L&D): Identify organizational skill gaps and implement impactful training and development programmes.
Succession & Workforce Planning: Proactively manage workforce planning and succession strategies to ensure organizational continuity.
Employee Relations: Manage sensitive employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with high levels of integrity and professionalism.
Reporting & Insights: Prepare detailed HR dashboards and provide strategic workforce insights to the management team to inform business decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is an added advantage.
Experience: 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Core Competencies:
Extensive knowledge of human capital management practices and national labour regulations.
Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS).
