Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and passionate Graphic Designer / UI/UX Design Instructor with a strong design portfolio, a love for technology, and the ability to effectively teach and inspire students. The ideal candidate should be proficient in multiple design platforms, including CorelDRAW, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Figma, and possess hands-on experience in both graphic and user experience design.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach both theory and practical classes in Graphic Design and UI/UX Design, covering topics such as Print & Production, Product Design, Computer Graphics, Typography, User Experience Design, Wireframing, Mockups, Prototyping, and Design Research.

• Instruct on software tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD), Figma, and CorelDRAW.

• Guide students through the full design process — from interpreting briefs to creating professional deliverables.

• Develop, plan, and update curriculum in collaboration with the department head.

• Create innovative instructional strategies, including non-traditional delivery formats.

• Mentor students, provide feedback, and assist with career and project-related concerns.

• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.

• Participate in departmental activities, curriculum development, and college service functions.

• Maintain high professional standards, demonstrating excellence, respect, and integrity.

Requirements:

• Proven professional design experience with a strong and diverse portfolio.

• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD), Figma, and CorelDRAW Suite.

• Ability to teach Microsoft Office Suite as part of design training.

• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and production methods.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage, inspire, and motivate students to achieve excellence in design.

Qualifications and Skills:

• B.Sc or HND or OND or NCE Graduate in any field.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of professional experience (other than teaching) in Adobe Illustration, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Corel Draw, Adobe XD, Figma and other utility software or related fields.
• A minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• Essential: Experience in working in different CAD environment, mainly at Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-Design, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Figma, Corel Draw, and good knowledge at Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Evaluate student performance in courses taught by the instructor.
• Assist and advise students who have problems with assignments, tests, grades, course content, career concerns, and other academic matters.
• Develop and maintain curriculum in collaboration with the head of department.
• Participate in instructional and curriculum articulation activities with other programs and other divisions of instruction.
• Comply with college policies and directions regarding student testing, record keeping, advanced standing, providing grades on a timely basis, maintaining office hours for student assistance and counseling, etc.
• Use of language skills: Fluent in spoken and written English (Essential)
• Good communication and presentation skills.
