Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled and technically proficient professionals to fill the roles of Geologist and Mining Engineer at our site in Kachia, Kaduna. These positions are central to our extraction operations, requiring individuals who can bridge the gap between scientific exploration and industrial execution. Whether you are identifying high-grade deposits or designing the structural integrity of a mine, your expertise will ensure our operations are productive, safe, and environmentally responsible.

The ideal candidates will possess a deep understanding of rock mechanics, resource estimation, and the regulatory landscape governing the Nigerian mining sector.

Requirements:

For Geologists:

• Exploration & Modeling: Utilize geochemical and geophysical surveys to identify new deposits. Create sophisticated 3D ore body models to calculate tonnage and determine grade quality.

• Operational Guidance: Lead grade control efforts by sampling rock faces and drill holes, providing real-time guidance to mining teams to separate high-quality ore from waste rock.

• Technical Design Support: Collaborate with engineers to optimize pit slope stability and underground support systems based on rigorous rock mechanics analysis.

• Compliance & Reporting: Use specialized GIS software to maintain detailed geological logs and reports while monitoring environmental impacts and land reclamation efforts.

For Mining Engineers:

• Mine Design & Planning: Design efficient open-pit or underground mine structures, including shafts, tunnels, and slopes, ensuring maximum structural stability.

• Production Optimization: Develop operational schedules and production targets to maximize resource recovery while managing equipment and manpower.

• Project & Cost Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising safety or cost efficiency.

• Technology & Environment: Integrate advanced automation and data analysis to improve site efficiency. Develop and implement site rehabilitation and reclamation plans to minimize environmental footprints.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • For Geologists: Mastery of GIS software and resource estimation techniques.

  • For Engineers: Strong background in geotechnical studies and mine planning software.

• Core Competencies:
