Job Description:
The Tropicana Tourism Institution (TTI) at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort is seeking an experienced and visionary General Manager to lead its operations, training programs, and capacity-building initiatives. This is a critical leadership role dedicated to shaping the next generation of skilled professionals in tourism, hospitality, and eco-resort management.
Requirements:
Strategic Leadership: Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for TTI, ensuring excellence in program delivery, administration, and stakeholder engagement.
Curriculum Development: Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive training programs in tourism, hospitality, cultural tourism, event coordination, and eco-tourism practices.
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, including staff management, scheduling, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, educational institutions, and government agencies to expand TTI’s reach and impact.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards within the training and hospitality environment.
Youth Empowerment: Lead initiatives that empower youth and emerging professionals through skill acquisition, workplace discipline, and hands-on experience.
Performance Management: Monitor institutional performance, analyze outcomes, and implement improvements to enhance participant experience and organizational impact.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience in construction or facility maintenance. Experience in resort or hotel construction/maintenance is a significant advantage.
Project Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in project management and project fundraising.
Skills: Strong strategic planning, high-level communication, and effective stakeholder engagement abilities.
Track Record: Proven ability to drive organizational growth, maintain operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality projects.
