Job Description:

We are seeking a high-velocity and industrially elite General Manager, Production to anchor the manufacturing engine of our Lagos operations. In the specialized landscape of heavy industry where success is measured in metric tonnes and millimetric efficiency, success is defined by "Production Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize multi-stage chemical processes with the clinical precision required for Clinker Quality, Kiln Lining Maintenance, and Large-Scale Budgetary Optimization. This role is designed for a "Success Architect" with at least 25 years of experience who can blend "Industrial Grit" (overseeing raw and cement mill operations) with the "Strategic Agility" required to develop DCP’s national production strategy.

Requirements:

1. Industrial Orchestration & Strategy Governance

• Strategy Sovereignty: Develop and articulate the production strategy for Dangote Cement Plc, acting as the primary "Source of Manufacturing Intent."

• Capacity Architecture: Create and manage the plant’s material requirement plans in line with strategic intent, providing the "Structural Foundation" for market dominance.

• Integrity Stewardship: Oversee the implementation of approved production plans, ensuring the "Source of Established Targets" is elite and uncompromised.

2. Tactical Resilience & Operational Logic

• Maintenance Sovereignty: Liaise with the Maintenance department to coordinate planned shutdowns, acting as the primary "Source of Asset Longevity."

• System Architecture: Oversee the execution of kiln lining repairs and mill operations, providing the "Functional Foundation" for continuous plant uptime.

• Process Stewardship: Ensure all production processes align with agreed-upon procedures and safety guidelines, maintaining the "Source of Operational Fidelity."

3. Operational Integrity & Leadership Power

• Budgetary Sovereignty: Prepare and manage annual production budgets based on market forces, acting as the primary "Source of Resource Optimization."

• Leadership Architecture: Provide overall strategic direction and mentorship to the production team, providing the "Human Foundation" for a high-performance culture.

• Velocity Logic: Utilize 25+ years of sector expertise to identify improvement opportunities and keep DCP abreast of international trends, maximizing the "Source of Industrial Throughput."

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.

• Experience: Minimum of Twenty-Five (25) years of relevant work experience.

• Leadership: At least Ten (10) years in a senior management position within a heavy industrial environment.

• Domain Power: Deep knowledge of local and international cement industry trends, regulations, and legislations.
