Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven General Manager to lead our construction equipment and machinery leasing operations. In this executive role, you will take full ownership of the company’s strategy, profitability, and operational excellence. Your primary objective will be to optimize fleet utilization, manage complex maintenance lifecycles, and drive aggressive business growth while maintaining the highest safety and service standards in the industry.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep technical knowledge of heavy machinery and a proven ability to manage large-scale logistics and diverse teams in a high-stakes environment.

Requirements:

Strategic & Operational Oversight

  • Fleet Optimization: Ensure all machinery and equipment are available and leased efficiently to maximize revenue and meet client demands.

  • Operational Strategy: Design and implement company-wide strategies for growth, market expansion, and long-term profitability.

  • Logistics & Inventory: Collaborate with departments to manage machinery inventory, optimize logistics, and ensure seamless delivery and pickup schedules.

  • Maintenance Management: Oversee rigorous maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifecycle of the fleet.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Financial Stewardship: Prepare annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to ensure revenue targets are achieved.

  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to recommend improvements and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Reporting: Provide regular, data-driven performance reports to the Board of Directors regarding operational status and strategic milestones.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate staff across sales, operations, and technical teams to foster a positive, high-performance work culture.

  • Customer Excellence: Build and maintain lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring the company remains a trusted partner in their construction projects.

  • Negotiation: Lead high-level contract negotiations and stakeholder engagements with precision and professional acumen.

Compliance, Safety & Technology

  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations, environmental policies, and international safety standards.

  • Tech Integration: Leverage fleet management software, ERP systems, and digital leasing platforms to enhance operational transparency and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. (An MBA is highly preferred).

  • Industry Seniority: Minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment leasing, construction, or the heavy machinery industry.

  • Leadership Track Record: At least 5 years in a senior management role with a proven history of driving business growth.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Financial Acumen: Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and complex financial analysis.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction equipment specifications, machinery operations, and leasing best practices.

  • People Management: Exceptional ability to inspire and manage diverse technical and commercial teams.
