Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber General Manager to oversee the total operations of our business unit in Ikeja. This is a critical leadership role requiring a blend of financial acumen, operational precision, and strategic foresight.
You will be responsible for the health of the entire organization—from developing growth strategies and analyzing complex financial data to mentoring key functional managers. We are looking for a proactive "Builder" who can translate high-level goals into tactical reality. If you have 5–8 years of experience as a General Manager and a track record of improving productivity, we invite you to lead our team.
Requirements:
1. Operational Excellence & Performance Governance
Daily Oversight: Command the daily business operations to ensure seamless delivery and organizational efficiency.
KPI Architecture: Coordinate the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all functions and direct reports, ensuring every team is aligned with the company’s mission.
Productivity Evaluation: Continuously evaluate organizational performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.
2. Strategic Growth & Financial Stewardship
Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute long-term growth strategies and tactical programs to hit targeted objectives.
Financial IQ: Analyze accounting and financial data to inform decision-making, manage budgets, and ensure the business remains profitable and sustainable.
Business Unit Management: Provide direct management and mentorship to key functional managers and executives, fostering a culture of accountability.
3. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Interfunctional Coordination: Leverage a deep knowledge of different business functions (HR, Finance, Sales, Ops) to ensure cross-departmental synergy.
Communication Leadership: Act as the primary communicator of company goals, maintaining high standards of transparency and professional ethics.
Organizational Design: Refine tactical programs and departmental structures to pursue targeted goals effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field from a reputable institution. A Master’s Degree (MBA) is a significant advantage.
Experience: 5–8 years of proven experience specifically in a General Manager role.
Location: Candidates residing in Ikeja and its environs are highly preferred for operational proximity.
